It's not much yet, haven't gotten to the hard parts yet. Have a small, unplanned "design detail" but it's a start.
More later on how this came to be, but got to get the kids to a play date before they take the car keys and drive themselves.

HALLELUJAH! LOOK!! It's a MIRACLE!! A bloody MIRACLE! Someone call the Harlot! Kathy's going to make SOCKS!!!! First Girl and now this. It's good to be me.
Once she turns the heel I can die a happy woman. No, no, I may need a pair for that. I am all verklempt. I am overcome. ((sniffle)) I am so moved!
You go, Kathy! You know you can do it.
I, on the other hand, am admiring the Charlene Schurch book I got from the library, imagining my chance to get over to WEBS for sock yarn, psyching myself up for this task...
and that is about it so far. :)
WHOO HOO!!!!
YAY! I am so excited! I knew you could do it! And you kind of like it too, don't you. ;)

I'm so glad it was the former! Hah! Congratulations! Maneuvering double pointed needles is probably one of the biggest humps to get over. It's all downhill from here!
